I’m very pleased to announce that my proposed presentation, Horse Drawn Medieval Winter Transportation: Sleds and Sledges, has been accepted for a session at the International Medieval Congress 2022 in Leeds, England. In 2021 I presented portions of the proposed presentation to Carriage Association of America members and at the Medieval Carriage Symposium, looking forward to drilling down in this one particular area. This will be my first time presenting at IMC and I’m grateful for the opportunity.

Very pleased to announce that my research has been used for the The United States World War One Centennial Commission in their recognition of Horse Heroes. The mobile kitchens of WWI are a fascinating topic, it was a fun article to write. The resulting discussions I have had with veterans, sharing their food stories, has been equally rewarding.
